Hello there! I’m Alana Helbig, women’s podcast mentor, creator of the online program Ignite: Podcasting for Changemakers and host of the Untangled podcast.
My love affair with podcasting started in 2015.
From the back of my campervan on the east coast of Tasmania in Australia, my sister and I hatched the idea for our very first podcast – She Makes Magic.
What happened next was amazing!
She Makes Magic become hugely popular. It brought in thousands of listeners in the first month, our small blogging community we’d been nurturing for almost five years with barely any engagement quadrupled in size and we were inundated with emails from our listeners. Best of all, we started to create a connected and engaged global community of like-minded women.
A year later I launched my second podcast Untangled and, just like She Makes Magic, this podcast spread like wildfire.
Soon after, I started receiving emails from women asking about my podcasting process and how to create their own. And that’s when I began supporting other women on their podcasting journeys.
Three years on, hundreds of podcasting clients and a profitable online business that allows me to travel and podcast from anywhere in the world, I feel like I’m only just starting to understand how powerful the podcasting platform can be.
Thanks to podcasting I’ve formed strong and beautiful connections with women I have admired for a long time, been featured in several magazines, have my calendar filling up with speaking opportunities, found my passion and soul work and have women contacting me every day, thanking me for the message I’m sharing and the work I’m doing.
Nothing lights me up more than seeing women step behind the podcast mic, find their voices and share their unique message with the world.
And I’ve created this mini program to support you in how to do just that.
"From the subtle to the technical, Alana provided real tangible support throughout the entire process. I know without a doubt that I would have never created my podcast without Alana."
- Mackenzie Eason, host of Embodied Empowered Engaged
"Alana’s super clear technical instructions helped give me confidence that I actually *could* do the technical bits and pieces and I know without a doubt, the trainings saved me hours and hours and HOURS of time trying to figure it out all on my own. Working with Alana has been one of the best investments I’ve made to date.”
- Jen Vertanen, host of Going There
"Finally I found a woman that speaks my language! Her vibe and her total ease at explaining the ins and outs of podcasting in a way that makes it seem simple meant everything to me. But she does so much more than tell you how to set up a podcast. She helps you tap into your dreams and holds your hand as you make it a reality."
- April Kurtyka, host of Roots of Awakening
